iPhone 5S vs. iPhone 5C: Appearance Comparison

The Apple Inc released its new smartphone iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on 20th September .They attract worldwide attention and sold simultaneously in USA ,China ,Canada ,Australia ,UK ,France ,Germany ,Singapore and Japan 9 countries .Two different style smartphone shows up at the same time . What is different between iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in appearance design ? You will find the answer in the following .

Front 

They look like in overall design .The obvious difference is the edge .You can't find the clear edge line of iPhone 5s , but the plastics edge line is obvious .Both of them adopt 4" screen.However ,124.4 * 59.2 * 8.97 mm body of iPhone 5c is a slightly bigger than 123.8 * 58.6 * 7.6 mm body of iPhone 5s.

Home Button

As we known , Home Button with the Touch ID sensor feature is the iPhone 5s major selling point . Unlike traditional design and material , the Home button of iPhone 5s is made of sapphire glass without a small square .And the shape and material of  iPhone 5c are the same as its predecessor .    

Back

 The differences of the back are the material and the color . iPhone 5s has a aluminum body which makes it look more high-grade than iPhone 5c .Although iPhone 5c has a plastic body ,it has a good sense of touch .Thank to the advanced engineering plastics and the internal structure of steel plate ,iPhone 5c takes you into a heavy feeling like metal which is different from ordinary plastics.The iPhone 5s has three colors , gold ,silver and grey .The iPhone 5c features five young colors including white, blue,green, yellow and pink .Different from mature feeling of iPhone 5s , colorful iPhone 5c brings a kind of fashionable experience to you .

Another obvious difference of the back is the flash . Unlike traditional design , iPhone 5s equips with dual-LED (True Tone) flash .

Left Side 

iPhone 5s has two gaps on the left side .The volume buttons and the silence switch ,designed as its predecessor , set on the upper left side .However ,there is not gap on the iPhone 5c .The position  f volume buttons and the silence switch of iPhone 5c are the same as iPhone 5s ,but the shape of volume buttons is oblong ,which is different from iPhone 5s .The material of the buttons are different .

 Right Side

Both of them have a SIM tray in the same position .There are two gaps on the iPhone 5s .

Top

 

The same shape of power&sleep button sits on the top right but in different materials.Both of them have not any gap on the top .

Bottom 

The  position of Lightning port and 3.5 mm headphone jack is the same as the predecessor .The obvious difference is the totally new design of the loudspeaker of iPhone 5c .iPhone 5s adopts multi-porous loudspeaker  design . But the iPhone 5c  simplifies the design ,adopting "4 + 1" holes loudspeaker .
